Beijing latest subway map

The subway is probably your best bet for getting around town. The advantages (cheap, convenient, easy to navigate, fast) definitely outweigh the disadvantages (can be crowded, closes early).

UPDATED SUBWAY MAP CHECK HERE http://www.explorebj.com/subway/

Except for the Airport Express Line, a ride on the Beijing subway costs ¥2 no matter where you’re going or how many times you transfer. You’ll find the subway stations have good English signs, and all train announcements are made in both English and Chinese. Hours of operation vary by line, but generally, trains run between 5:00 and 23:00 (see Beijing Subway Map on the back of pull-out map). To avoid getting up close and personal with a mob of strangers, avoid riding the train during the rush hours of 7:00-9:00 and 17:00-19:00.

All passengers will pass through a security checkpoint where purses or bags are put through a screening machine like at the airport. If you purchased an Yikatong, boarding the subway is easy. Just walk up to the ticket gate and press your card to the card reader. The gates will open and the fare will be deducted automatically. If you’re buying fare cards as you go, you’ll find a cluster of ticket vending machines that have an English option, but they only accept small bills and are frequently out of order. If that’s the case, you can approach the customer service window and buy a ticket directly from the employee there.

Most of Beijing’s top attractions are accessible via subway. See our list of attractions and subway stops in parenthesis below. As you’ll see, it is fairly easy to organize a self-guided tour using the subway for transportation.

Wow, this is quite helpful. Thanks for sharing. I used to be confused about the subway system in Beijing since it is really complicated for me and thanks to this map, it does help me a lot. By the way, have you guys ever encountered language problems and how do you solve it? I often use a human-powered translation app Yespo. I think it’s useful too and now share it to you guys.
